My Journey at JICM: A Workplace That Values Its People
Working at Jyothy Institute of Commerce and Management (JICM) has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional career. Over the past three years, I have had the privilege of being part of an institution that not only strives for academic excellence but also genuinely values the people who contribute to its success.
From the day I joined JICM, I was welcomed into a supportive and encouraging environment where every faculty and staff member is respected, appreciated, and provided with opportunities to grow professionally and personally. The institution's culture is built on collaboration, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to excellence.
One of the greatest strengths of JICM is its leadership. I have been fortunate to receive constant guidance and encouragement from our Executive Director, Sri. Rajesh K, whose vision and commitment to institutional growth continue to inspire everyone associated with JICM. His focus on creating a positive work environment and empowering employees has played a significant role in shaping my professional journey.
I am also deeply grateful to Director – Academics, Prof. B. S. Lakshman Prasad, who has been a true mentor and guide throughout my three-year journey at JICM. His wisdom, academic insight, and unwavering support have helped me navigate challenges, enhance my capabilities, and grow both as an educator and as an individual. His guidance at every stage has been invaluable and has left a lasting impact on my professional development.
My sincere thanks also go to our Principal, Dr. S. Sathyeshwar, for his continuous support, encouragement, and leadership. His approachable nature and commitment to academic excellence have created an atmosphere where faculty members are motivated to innovate, learn, and excel.
What truly sets JICM apart is its belief that employee well-being and appreciation are just as important as academic achievements. The management consistently recognizes the efforts and contributions of its faculty and staff, fostering a positive and motivating workplace culture.
One of the most memorable highlights of my journey at JICM was the all-expenses-paid trip to Malaysia organized by the management for the staff. This experience was far more than a recreational tour—it was a heartfelt gesture of gratitude and recognition for the dedication and hard work of the entire team. The trip provided an opportunity to relax, strengthen bonds with colleagues, explore new cultures, and create cherished memories.
Such initiatives reflect JICM's commitment to creating a workplace where employees feel valued, motivated, and connected. At JICM, staff members are not merely employees; they are respected contributors and integral partners in the institution's success.
